FATHER’S DAY: Celebrities Share Family Photos, Thoughts On Facebook

This Sunday is Father’s Day, and several celebrities turned to Facebook to post family photos and their thoughts on the day, including Nick Cannon, Fergie, Karlie Kloss, Cody Simpson, Jason Mraz, Tony Hawk, Colbie Caillat, Jenni Farley (JWOWW), and Nicole Polizzi (Snooki).

Facebook shared photos posted by those celebrities, as well as their comments on the photos.

Nick Cannon: “Our children are a continuous reminder of how blessed we are and how much love we share, but siblings will still fight and, as parents, we must teach them to get along. This photo was taken while we were in Australia, and I had just reprimanded Roc for hitting his sister. It’s why he’s sitting with his legs crossed and his hands in his lap. Discipline is never easy — especially since these two are so well behaved — but it’s necessary, and that has been a HUGE lesson in fatherhood for me. Not pictured: Roc giving her a big hug and kiss afterwards.” Cannon’s photo was taken in Australia on New Year’s Day 2013, and it features his children, Monroe and Moroccan.

Fergie: “Every day I appreciate moments and memories with my dad more and more. I love that our passion for wine and work on Ferguson Crest Vineyard has given us even more time together now, filled with love, laughter, and the most important thing of all … family. I love you, padre.” Fergie’s photo was taken in Sun Valley, Idaho, in July 2012, to celebrate her dad’s birthday. She, her father (Pat), and her sister (Dana) were wine-tasting.

Karlie Kloss: “I have the most supportive dad in the world! So every Father’s Day, my sisters and I spoil him with breakfast in bed. I’m not just talking your standard coffee and toast, but a full-on, over-the-top, gourmet spread, complete with scrambled eggs, pancakes, waffles, yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit, and finished off with a beautiful bouquet of fresh-cut flowers from our garden!” Kloss’ photo of her with her dad, Kurt, was taken in 2008 backstage at a Proenza Shouler fashion show.

Cody Simpson: “My dad is my best mate. He’s by my side every single day, helping me become a better man. He is the kindest and most humble person I know, and I am grateful to have such an admirable role model in my life. Happy Father’s Day, love you dad.” Simpson’s photo with dad Brad was taken at the video shoot for Simpson’s new single, “Pretty Brown Eyes,” sometime near the end of April.

Jason Mraz: Mraz’s photo is of him and his father, Tom, celebrating victory at the Grammy Awards in February 2010. The photo was taken by Alysse Fischer.

Tony Hawk: Hawk’s photo with sons Spencer (14), Keegan (11), and Riley (20) was taken on the summit of Mammoth Mountain last Thanksgiving (Nov. 22, 2012), by Catherine Obrecht-Goodman, and Hawk said, “We try to go to because I love sharing my favorite sports with them.”

Colbie Caillat: “This is me and my dad at the house I was born in, in Malibu. I was a little blond kid running round barefoot all the time. Our house was near Dukes on Pacific Coast Highway, so we would have beach days all of the time with my sister and my family. It was so much fun because I have a big family. My dad is the greatest, sweetest, and most caring father!” Caillat’s dad is Grammy Award-winning producer Ken Caillat, who produced Tusk and Rumours by Fleetwood Mac.

Jenni Farley: “My aunt is holding me and my dad has a beer. I hate clowns!”

Nicole Polizzi: “My dad’s the best, he’s always been supportive of me whatever I do. I love him!” The photo of Snooki and “Papa Snooks,” Andy Polizzi, was taken at the first Team Snooki Music Live event June 7 at Passions Nightclub at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Fla.
