Facebook Testing Graph Search For Mobile Web?

GraphSearchMobileWeb650A test of Facebook’s Graph Search for mobile was discovered in February by Seth Fiegerman of Mashable, who encountered the functionality within the social network’s mobile application. Monday, Justin Lafferty of sister blog Inside Facebook found evidence of a test of Graph Search on the mobile Web.

UPDATED: Facebook told Inside Facebook it is testing improvements to its mobile Web search feature, borrowing functionality from its desktop product, and this is not a Graph Search test, despite the fact that some of the URLs in the screenshots include the string “graphsearch.” A Facebook spokesperson told Inside Facebook:

We’re testing improvements to Facebook mobile search.

According to Lafferty, Graph Search via the mobile Web offers similar functionality to the desktop version of Graph Search, and users can:

The mobile Web version of Graph Search also has the ability to understand more complex queries, such as “restaurants nearby my friends like,” Lafferty pointed out.
