GroSocial Adds SurveyMonkey Widget For Facebook Pages

Facebook marketing firm GroSocial announced the launch of a new survey widget in partnership with online survey provider SurveyMonkey.

All of the surveys in users’ SurveyMonkey accounts are embeddable via the GroSocial Customizer widget, and they can be included via the use of a simple drag-and-drop interface.

Customizer provides users with customization and design options, as well as social media buttons including like (Facebook), follow (Twitter), pin (Pinterest), and send (email). Video and photo content can also be included.

GroSocial Founder and Chief Executive Officer Zach Mangum said the partnership with SurveyMonkey is a win-win for both companies, as SurveyMonkey users stand to dramatically increase the response rates on their surveys by publishing them on Facebook.

Mangum added that GroSocial’s arrangement with SurveyMonkey is similar to the company’s pact with online form builder Wufoo, which enables users to embed forms on social networks and elsewhere on the Internet.

In a blog post introducing the SurveyMonkey widget, GroSocial wrote:

Dropping a SurveyMonkey-powered survey onto a Facebook tab is a piece of cake. Simply follow these few steps:

  • Create and save your survey within your SurveyMonkey account.
  • Log in to your Customizer account and drag and drop the SurveyMonkey widget onto your tab canvas.
  • Authenticate with SurveyMonkey from within Customizer.
  • Once prompted, select the survey you want to install to your Facebook page.

An oversimplified lesson on data collection is that the more data you have, the greater the value of those data. The same holds true when conducting surveys — the data generally become more valuable each time another person completes a survey. Conducting a survey that only receives three or four responses is nowhere near as valuable as one that receives thousands of responses.

By conducting surveys within the Facebook environment, your business stands to get dramatically better response rates, more data, and, therefore, can make more data-driven, informed business decisions.
