If you’ve seen the page “OMG This GUY Went A Little To Far WITH His Revenge On His EX Girlfriend”, I wouldn’t be surprised if you clicked on the link. I did. The result is that after a few clicks you end up liking the page without knowing it via an advanced form of clickjacking hack within Facebook Pages. The page has been growing incredibly fast over the past few hours, adding over 10,000 fans per hour or more.
Honestly, I can’t tell if this page actually does anything damaging to the user. Currently, it only appears as though you end up liking the content on the page. This could theoretically be nothing more than a test of some spammers looking to see whether or not they can game Facebook’s existing system. Whatever it is, realize that clicking on the color blue as directed on the page will accomplish nothing.
Instead, you’ll simply end up “liking” the page and fueling the continued growth of this pointless page. My guess is Facebook will shut this off in the near future, however it’s pretty clear that Facebook is continuing to battle spam. Have you seen this page show up in your feed?
