Grocery-delivery startup Hello Fresh said hello to a fresh new idea for marketing via Facebook, becoming one of the first businesses in the U.K. to launch Facebook offers.
Facebook offers can be created free of charge by brands, and Facebook users who click through receive emails that they can use to redeem the offers. The number of users who have claimed the offer is displayed.
Hello Fresh launched an offer yesterday on its Facebook page, giving new customers a discount of £20 ($32.28) on their first order. At the time of this post, the offer had been claimed by more than 10 percent of Facebook users who like the company’s page — 239 out of 2,213.
Hello Fresh Managing Director Pit Karbe said:
As a young, growing business, offers provides us with a great, cost-effective way to reach new customers interested in our service — leveraging a potential customers’ social network has been much more effective than other mass-distribution models.
