REPORT: Facebook Home Can Be Installed On All Android Devices Running 4.0 And Up

The good news: Facebook Home can now be run on all Android devices running version 4.0 of the mobile operating system or higher, even if they are not on the social network’s list of officially supported devices. The bad news: In order to run Home on non-supported devices, users must first uninstall (and later reinstall) the flagship Facebook application and Facebook Messenger, and then side-load Home.

Mashable reported on the ability to install Home on non-supported devices, saying that although users who do so are warned that they may not get “the best experience,” Senior Tech Analyst Christina Warren was able to run home on an AT&T device similar to a Samsung Galaxy S IV, as well as on a Nexus 4.

Readers: Are you adventurous enough to attempt to side-load Home on your Android device, or will you just wait for Facebook to extend its support?
