HootSuite Launches Managed Security And Compliance Services

HootSuiteManagedServices650The newest solution to help brands protect their online reputations and social media assets comes from social relationship platform HootSuite, which announced the launch of its Managed Security and Compliance Services.

Features included in the new Managed Security and Compliance Services offering from HootSuite include:

  • Social Media Asset Audit: Brands can identify and manage authorized and unauthorized social media profiles, and HootSuite creates an access-control map, which allows administrators to designate legitimate profiles and who can post to those profiles, as well as to remove invalid profiles.
  • Situational Simulations: Brands can create response plans for managing situations that could cause activity spikes on Facebook or Twitter, allowing users involved in every step of the process to react in a controlled environment via the HootSuite dashboard. When events are completed, brands receive executive summaries and recommendations.
  • Social Media Profile Monitoring: Social media profiles are monitored for security and compliance breaches, and users receive custom notifications when changes are made to account profiles. Real-time content moderation allows brands to ensure that all content conforms to their compliance policies.

HootSuite Vice President of Alliances, Business Development, and Platform Greg Gunn said in a release introducing Managed Security and Compliance Services:

While businesses have adopted social media in record numbers, the lack of governance puts enterprises at risk for online security and compliance breaches. Our new managed services are designed to equip the enterprise with the right tools and response plans so they can safely use social media to grow their business while protecting their brand.

ING Direct Senior Manager of Social Media Jaime Stein added:

The nature of social media means that your brand’s reputation is often at risk. Therefore, it’s important to have your team aligned and prepared to handle any situation that could compromise customer service or brand reputation. HootSuite’s Situational Simulation prepared our communications team for our recent company renaming launch so that when it took place, our team was able to handle the response from our clients and the public effectively and efficiently.
