HUMOR: The Onion On Why Facebook Users Leave

TheOnionLogoConcerns about privacy are often cited in studies examining why Facebook users leave the social network, but not when the “study” is conducted by parody and humor site The Onion.

The Onion posted the infographic below, highlighting why people are leaving Facebook, and the reasons were:

  • Discovered how to like things mentally, 27 percent
  • Committed 671 birthdays to memory, 19 percent
  • Family in feud with Zuckerbergs, 17 percent
  • High-school friends all dead now, 15 percent
  • Not enough politics, 12 percent
  • Ex is doing too well, 10 percent
