INFOGRAPHIC: Why Is Facebook’s Social Share Percentage Dropping While Pinterest, Twitter Rise?

GigyaSocialSharingInfographicTeaser650Social sharing via Twitter and Pinterest gained 6 percent and 4 percent shares of the sector, respectively, in the third quarter of 2013 versus the second quarter, while Facebook saw its share drop 9 percent during the same period, according to a study by Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer and consumer-management-suite provider Gigya.

Gigya reported in a blog post that Pinterest surged in the third quarter, topping Facebook and Twitter in certain verticals, and adding that on a global basis, regional social networks such as Mixi in Japan and vKontakte in Russia are also on the rise.
