Social marketing platform Shift, a Facebook Preferred Marketing Developer, examined campaigns on the social network during the second quarter that were managed via its Facebook ad solution, and it shared its findings in the infographic below.
Shift found that:
- Entertainment achieved the highest click-through rates during the period, at 1.8 percent, followed by consumer packaged goods at 0.9 percent.
- Auto and entertainment achieved the most efficient costs per click.
- Auto also had the largest increase in CTRs compared with the first quarter of 2014, 48 percent.
- The top five verticals using Shift’s platform — auto, CPG, entertainment, financial services and telecommunications – saw increases of at least 200 percent in CTR year-over-year.
The increase in CTR across the board means advertisers are reaching the right people at the right time, and as a result, they are taking action.
