INFOGRAPHIC: Why Facebook Pages Should Be Optimizing Their Images For News Feed

McBeardMediaInfographicNewsFeedTeaser650There have been several image-sizing guides for page posts, but, as McBeard Media pointed out, 99 percent of Facebook user impressions occur on the News Feed, so why not be sure pages’ images are News Feed-optimized?

McBeard Media provided two infographics on the subject, and full-size versions of the News Feed and page view infographics are available for download.

The company mentioned square images, which can also be posted on other platforms, saying that they are spread across the entire column on pages but smaller and left-justified on News Feed. McBeard Media also suggested images in a six-by-five proportion, such as 1,200 pixels wide by 1,000 pixels high.
