Facebook Updates iOS App; Adds Free Calling In U.S., Canada, Improved Buttons

Facebook released an update to its iOS application, version 5.5, and the main addition is the ability to make free calls if both users are located in the U.S. or Canada, which the social network added to its Messenger app in January.

Other changes in Facebook for iOS version 5.5 include improved buttons for users to like, comment on, and share posts, and the availability of the share button in all languages.

Sister blog Inside Facebook also pointed out that the icon in the corner of posts, where users can hide posts or mark them as spam, is now an upside down caret, as opposed to three vertical dots.
