KLM Passengers Can Book Tickets Via Facebook

KLMFBPayment650KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has already been recognized by analytics provider Socialbakers for its responsiveness to social media questions, and now, travelers can book tickets on the Netherlands’ flagship carrier via Facebook or Twitter.

The airline detailed how the process works: KLM sends links to travelers via private messages on Facebook or Twitter, and users can click through, select their preferred payment methods, and complete the transactions, after which they will receive second messages informing them that their payments have been received, which passengers must then confirm.

KLM said its 130 social media agents respond to some 35,000 weekly queries on Facebook and Twitter, adding that it recently topped 5 million likes on Facebook.
