Facebook Boosts Kobo’s Traffic, Registrations

Electronic reading and mobile application Kobo has attracted more eyeballs following its upgrade for timeline in January, seeing its traffic from Facebook rise by more than 50 percent and its daily registrations leap by over 90 percent.

Kobo uses single sign-on so that users do not have to create new names and passwords, and it offers access to more than 2.5 million books, newspapers, and magazines.

The app implemented action verbs started reading a book, finished reading a book, wrote a note in a book, highlighted a passage in a book, and added a book, and aggregations it features are started reading, time spent reading, notes, finished reading, and earned awards.
