In his first public interview following Facebook’s initial public offering, at TechCrunch’s Disrupt SF event in San Francisco Sept. 11, Co-Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said of the possibility of a Facebook phone: “It doesn’t move the needle for us. We want to build a system that’s deeply integrated into every platform people use.” Yet the rumors continue.
According to Slashgear, the Opera UL is an original equipment manufactured device created for Facebook, and it will feature a 1.4-gigahertz processor and run the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean operating system. The device will also reportedly boast a 1280 x 720 display.
A source close to the project told Slashgear that the project has been delayed, and there is no public release date scheduled.
