Madame Tussauds Immortalizes Mark Zuckerberg In Wax For New San Francisco Museum

WaxZuck650Facebook Co-Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been immortalized in wax.

A life-sized wax figure of Zuckerberg wearing his trademark hoodie and jeans, working on a laptop while barefoot, was unveiled last week to promote the opening of a Madame Tussauds wax museum in San Francisco June 26.

The wax Zuckerberg was joined by similar renderings of actor Leonardo DiCaprio and singer Rihanna

Madame Tussauds San Francisco Marketing Manager Lauren Fahrer told Mashable the figure of Zuckerberg took 20 artists three to four months to complete, with real hair inserted one strand at a time, adding that since Zuckerberg was not available for a sitting, his figure was created from photographs.

Mashable added that the wax Zuckerberg is wearing a Facebook T-shirt provided by the company, but it is not visible in the photo above due to copyright issues.

Speaking of the photo above, it was taken by Beck Diefenbach of Madame Tussauds, and it depicts Karmen Bell of the San Francisco Travel Association taking a selfie with the wax Zuckerberg at the museum’s future site at Fisherman’s Wharf.
