MarkHamilton650Mark Hamilton, who had been a client managing director, Middle East and north Africa, for Starcom MediaVest Group, joined Facebook as head of marketing communications for the central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEEMEA) regions, The Drum reported.

According to The Drum, Hamilton will be responsible for business-to-business marketing efforts, and he will be a senior partner to each market’s sales leads.

Head of Global Marketing Solutions, Middle East, Africa, and Pakistan Jonathan Labin said in a statement, as reported by The Drum:

(Hamilton will) develop thought-leadership strategies, marketing models, and award-winning capabilities designed to enhance the industry’s understanding of social and online marketing.

And Hamilton added:

Millions of people across CEEMEA use Facebook every day to connect and share with people and brands that interest them. The scale of both the reach and engagement on Facebook means that businesses can be better in an open and connected world.

Having strongly believed in that, my new role at Facebook will give me the opportunity to drive the creation of marketing communications for all Facebook marketing products across our agency and brand advertiser customer base in CEEMEA.
