Facebook Makes It Easier For Android Users To Sign Up For Messenger

Facebook’s devotion to Android is growing stronger. The company announced Tuesday that Android users can sign up for Facebook’s standalone Messenger application by just entering their name and phone number.

The site reports that accounts, separate of a Facebook membership, will roll out gradually. Android users can install the app and tap “Get Started” to reach contacts faster and enjoy the functionalities of the standalone Messenger app.
