Facebook Adds New Vertical Lead, Auto, U.S.

CarsMichelle Morris joined Facebook as vertical lead, auto, U.S., and she will be based in the social network’s Detroit office, where she will work with automakers on using Facebook to build their brands and drive sales.

Morris had been leading advertising strategies for the North American automotive team at Google for the past seven years. Prior to that, she ran the Chrysler brand account at BBDO.

She will report to U.S. Group Lead, Auto Dan Creekmore, who said in a press release announcing Morris’ hire:

Michelle is a phenomenal addition to the team. She has an unparalleled depth of experience on both the marketer and publisher side, and she brings that rare combination of art and data-driven science to the position, which will be invaluable as we work to help our customers grow their brands and business.

Vice President of Global Marketing Solutions, U.S. David Lawenda added:
