Facebook has extended the larger page like sponsored stories it introduced in late March to mobile, testing a new mobile page like sponsored story that it more than three times the size of its predecessors.

Sister blog Inside Facebook reported that the new units being tested include a recent post from a page, joined by a clear call to action to like the page directly via the mobile news feed.

Inside Facebook pointed out that the large size of these page like sponsored stories and the visible like button could draw attention to the ads, but users may ignore them because they are not coming from friends.

Facebook officially announced sponsored stories for mobile at its Facebook Marketing Conference in New York Feb. 29.
