NASCAR Directs Facebook Users To Wrong TV Network For Pure Michigan 400

Facebook pages are a useful tool for brands to share information, but they may want to ensure that the information being shared is correct, which was not the case for NASCAR this past weekend, as the auto-racing organization posted that Sunday’s Pure Michigan 400 was airing on new cable network Fox Sports 1, when the race actually aired on ESPN.

Yahoo Sports reported on the error, pointing out that the TV rights for NASCAR will shift in 2015 to Fox, Fox Sports 1, NBC and NBC Sports Network, while ESPN currently holds the rights to the second half of the Sprint Cup season and the entire Nationwide Series schedule, through the end of the 2014 season.

Readers: Have you ever discovered errors on the Facebook pages of brands such as NASCAR?
