In a press release, NBC touted the fact that “Today” is “the first morning program to cross the million like mark,” but in fairness, there are only three network morning news shows.
Still, the total number of likes amassed by “Today” topped second-place “Good Morning America,” as ABC’s entry had 785,936 likes at the time of this post.
As for CBS, its “CBS This Morning” was well behind the pack, with 95,426, but the show has only existed under its current format since Jan. 9.
Today.com General Manger Jen Brown said:
Over the years, we’ve continued to experiment within the Facebook space and listen to what the audience wants. The result is a robust, engaged community that is consuming and sharing the Today experience long after the show ends.
