Owling, or crouching like an owl, preferably in public places and on potentially dangerous objects, has replaced planking, or the “art” of laying face down with your arms at your sides, making yourself stiff like a board, as the latest photo craze on social networks like Facebook.

In fact, there is now a Facebook page dedicated to the trend, Owling: The Evolution of Planking, which has attracted more than 1,200 likes despite listing itself under the category of “sports league.”
