Is Facebook Testing Page Post Link Ads With No Likes, Comments?

PagePostLinkAdNoLikesComments650Facebook is testing page post link ads that appear in users’ News Feeds without giving them the option to like or comment, which does not create any engagement, but significantly lowers the costs of running the ads.

Readers Lior Babi and Fialkov Digital’s Or Fialkov shared the screenshot above, with Fialkov saying that the fact that all clicks go to the website in the link, rather than to likes or comments, reduced his cost per acquisition on an ad with a 7 percent conversion rate to $14 from $27 by eliminating the clicks that did not go to the website.
