Facebook Directors Marc Andreessen and Peter Thiel received class-B shares in Facebook in exchange for their shares of Oculus VR following the official closing of the social network’s acquisition of the immersive virtual reality technology company earlier this week, and Form 4 filings detailing exercising of restricted stock units and sales of Facebook shares were also filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission Wednesday by Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, Chief Product Officer Chris Cox and Chief Technology Officer Mike Schroepfer.

2Q EARNINGS: Facebook Has 1.32B MAUs, 1.07B Mobile MAUs, 399M Mobile-Only MAUs

Facebook reported 1.32 billion monthly active users as of June 30 as part of its second-quarter financial results, up from 1.276 billion at the end of the first quarter of this year, and from 1.115 billion at the end of the year-ago period. Mobile MAUs were 1.07 billion, up slightly from 1.008 billion in the previous quarter, and up dramatically from 819 million in the second quarter of 2013. And the social network’s total of mobile-only MAUs continued to grow rapidly, reaching 399 million as of June 30 after wrapping the first quarter of 2014 at 341 million and the previous-year period at 219 million.
