The Denver Broncos kicked off the 2013 National Football League season Thursday night with a resounding 49-27 throttling of the visiting Baltimore Ravens. According to sister site PageData, the Broncos excelled on Facebook in the past seven days, as well, picking up 16,723 likes to lead the NFL, and seeing its people talking about this total rise by 73,556, good for a third-place finish.

In terms of likes added in the past seven days, the Broncos were trailed by the Dallas Cowboys with 11,781, and the San Francisco 49ers with 8,442.

The two teams to top the Broncos in PTAT were the New England Patriots, up 136,038, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, up 80,248.

In a surprising trend for the week leading up to the kickoff of the regular season, 12 teams saw their PTAT levels drop, and some of those drops were substantial. The Cowboys’ PTAT fell by 119,469, followed by the Oakland Raiders, down 81,046, and the Green Bay Packers, down 28,476.
