PageData Reveals NHL Teams With Most Facebook Momentum As Puck Drops Tuesday Night

NHLLogo2The National Hockey League drops the puck on its 2013-14 season with three games Tuesday night, but which teams had the most momentum in terms of Facebook likes and people talking about this in the week leading up to opening night? Sister site PageData has the answers.

The three NHL clubs that added the most likes in the week leading up to the start of the season were the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks (7,854), the Detroit Red Wings (5,908), and the Boston Bruins (4,781). The bottom three were the Columbus Blue Jackets (434), the Florida Panthers (581), and the New York Islanders (609).

The Vancouver Canucks saw their PTAT total soar by 29,981 for the week, followed by the Toronto Maple Leafs (25,907), and the New York Rangers (15,155).

One-half of the league’s 30 teams saw their PTAT totals drop in the week leading up to opening night, with the Colorado Avalanche losing a whopping 11,326, followed by the Columbus Blue Jackets (-5,733), and the San Jose Sharks (-4,522).
