Some Facebook users are seeing a modification to notifications in the form of pop-ups that appear on their own when a new notification is received.
These pop-up notifications are appearing on profiles and brand pages, in addition to users’ homepages, and they are not designed to fade out like other online pop-ups: If users do not click on them, they remain on screen for about five seconds.
The location of these pop-up notifications is not ideal, as they block both the left-hand navigation menu and the status update box.
