Facebook rejiggered the process of creating ads on its power editor advertising platform, giving page administrators greater flexibility in choosing what types of ads they want to create, rather than starting out by specifying what they were trying to promote.

Sister blog Inside Facebook offers a detailed look at the new ad-creation process with power editor, saying that the process now starts with users deciding what types of ads to create and, if applicable, power editor retrieving information from similar ads that user has run in the past.

The updated power editor also makes ad types such as video ads and sponsored results more prominent, according to Inside Facebook, and it offers mobile-only placement.
