Radio Disney Facebook App Hums Local Tunes

Facebook continues to be a wonderful world for Disney divisions, as Radio Disney has been able to tune in its application on the social network for optimum results.

Since launching its app a little over one year ago, Radio Disney has added geo-targeted, local features to its national play list, with features including:

  • Users who like Radio Disney can access a list of upcoming events for kids and families specifically in their markets.
  • Users can RSVP to events and receive reminders.
  • Customized video content is delivered to users based on location.
  • Users can subscribe to receive regular updates specifically geared toward their markets.

Radio Disney has nearly 577,000 likes, and its content is available on more than 35 terrestrial radio stations, RadioDisney.com, Sirius and XM satellite radio on channel 79, iTunes Radio Tuner, and via apps for the iPhone/iPod Touch and Android devices.
