Facebook Redesigns Events Calendar

Facebook redesigned its events calendar, adding features including times for individual events and weather forecasts from Weather Underground.

The forecasts from Weather Underground will cover the following 10 days, and they were added to Facebook event pages and locations in March.

Facebook Software Engineer Bob Baldwin announced the redesign in a post on his Timeline:

Last week at a Facebook NY hackathon, we made improvements to events calendar including: a new design, showing times for each event, and the weather for the next 10 days (with forecasts provided by Weather Underground, based on your current city). We hope these changes make it easier to plan your social life by adding more utility in your calendar. Try it out: https://www.facebook.com/events/calendar — with James Ide, Connie Yang, and Paul Hou.

Baldwin also shared the before and after photos, respectively, below.
