Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg Writing A Book

Add “author” to the list of accomplishments by Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, as her book about women and the workplace, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead, is scheduled for release March 12, 2013.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, in the book, to be published by Alfred A. Knopf, Sandberg shares her personal and professional experiences, encourages women to pursue leadership roles, argues that true equality in the workplace still does not exist, and offers advice.

Sandberg said in a statement about Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead:

I wrote Lean In so women can make more informed choices and increase their chances of making it to the top of any field or pursue any goal with gusto. And I wrote it for men who want to understand the challenges women face so they can do their part to build an equal world.
