Headlines For Facebook Sidebar Ads Can Now Be Customized

Facebook ads that appear in the sidebar can now feature customized headlines, much like similar ads that link to sites outside of the social network, as reported by sister blog Inside Facebook.

According to Inside Facebook, the new option will be available via the ads application-programming interface, power editor, or the self-serve ad-creation tool.

Inside Facebook reported that these ads can now have unique titles of up to 25 characters, instead of being restricted to the name of the page, application, or event the ad is promoting, adding that the change was incorporated into the social network’s ads API documentation.
