INFOGRAPHIC: How Did Summer Blockbuster Films Play On Facebook?

The summer has come to an end, and digital marketing technology provider Silverpop broke out the popcorn and examined the performances of this year’s summer blockbuster films on Facebook and other social networks.

Silverpop’s findings included:

  • Man of Steel was the non-sequel and non-prequel with the most combined followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus, with more than 2.1 million.
  • Fast & Furious 6 blew away the sequel competition in terms of Facebook fans, with more than 38 million.
  • The top animated film by Facebook fans was Despicable Me 2.
