IOS Users Prefer Snapchat To Facebook’s Poke

Facebook launched iOS application Poke, a timed messaging service that drew heavy comparisons to Snapchat, in December. Now that Poke has been in the App Store for a few months, it’s evident that Snapchat is winning the battle among U.S. iPhone users, according to new figures released by Onavo Insights and published by TechCrunch.

Not long after its debut, Poke fell from No. 1 in the App Store to No. 34, and it apparently just kept diving. Onavo Insights released a chart showing how as Poke lost more market share on iOS, Snapchat just gained it. Onavo shows just how far Poke has fallen — from 2 percent of iPhone users to less than 0.25 percent, according to TechCrunch.

By comparison, nearly 12 percent of iPhone users in the U.S. have opened up Snapchat on their phones.
