Shopping via Facebook, combined with standard Facebook events? Social-ly believes the two concepts mesh together just fine.

The Israel-based social network marketing firm created a feature for Facebook events that adds a shopping component, extending a special offer to Facebook users who choose to attend the events.

Israeli designer Sigal Dekel was one of the first to test out the feature, implementing it on this event on her Facebook page, in this case offering shoppers 50 percent off select items.

Social-ly Chief Executive Officer Noam Vaza said in a press release:

By operating a standard Facebook event, the shop gives special offers to all “attending” users. The natural viral spread of a Facebook event significantly increases the shop tab engagement and leads to sales.

We’ve seen numerous statistics showing that shares boost sales of event tickets, so there appears to be a market for Social-ly’s product.

Readers, would discounts offered only to Facebook fans and users prompt you to do more shopping on the social network?
