Spotify Searching, Sharing, Stats Added To Musical Artists’ Facebook Pages

Musical artists tied in with Spotify are seeing some new features on their Facebook pages, including the ability by Facebook users to search for and share Spotify links to their songs, as well as statistics for total plays via the application.

Sister blog Inside Facebook reported that users can visit the pages of Spotify artists, search for songs, and add comments to links before sharing them publicly on the artists’ walls.

Inside Facebook pointed out that this feature is not available on the pages of artists who do not allow posting to their walls, such as Rihanna and Eminem.

As for Spotify statistics, some artists’ pages are displaying a module with total Spotify plays for five of their most popular songs, and Facebook users can see plays by their friends, or total plays by all users.

Inside Facebook added that the module containing the stats also offers videos and articles about the artist, culled from open graph applications such as Vevo, Viddy, Yahoo, and The Washington Post social reader.

Readers: Have you noticed these new Spotify features on the Facebook pages of any of your favorite artists?
