Steve Irvine Named Global Director of Facebook’s PMD Program

SteveIrvine650Facebook’s Preferred Marketing Developer program has a new global director, as Vice President of Global Partnerships Blake Chandlee announced in a post to the PMD News group that Steve Irvine, currently director of business strategy and activation for global vertical strategy for Facebook Canada, will assume the role and report to Chandlee.

Chandlee wrote:

I am really pleased to announce that Steve Irvine will be taking the role of global director of our PMD program and report directly to me. As you all know, the PMD program plays a very influential role in activating many large clients and agencies on Facebook around the world. Steve brings deep knowledge of Facebook, the digital ecosystem, our product capabilities and strategy, and our international business to the team, and I am looking forward to seeing our partnerships with our PMDs continue to thrive under his leadership. Steve will be working closely with his team and many XFN groups to take the program into its next chapter, which will be focused on innovation. Stay tuned for more to come on this.

Steve has been at Facebook Canada for three-and-a-half years in a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, he was the director of business strategy and activation for global vertical strategy, where his team focused on international strategy and business planning. Steve also led the retail, e-commerce and financial services vertical GSO teams in Canada where he led a high-performing team and worked with many of our key clients. Prior to Facebook, Steve was a serial entrepreneur, including founding and acting as CEO for two ad-tech companies.
