Super Bowl XLVIII: Seattle Seahawks Dominate On Facebook, Too

SuperBowlXLVIIILogo650The Seattle Seahawks dominated the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII Sunday night, 43-8, and four of Facebook’s top five most-buzzed-about moments were also plays by the Seahawks, according to the social network, which added that some 50 million users accounted for more than 185 million Super Bowl-related interactions Sunday.

Facebook said men 18 through 34 were responsible for the most Super Bowl interactions, followed by women 18 through 34, men 35 through 49, and women 35 through 49.

The five most-buzzed-about Super Bowl XLVIII moments were, according to Facebook:

  1. Seahawks Wide Receiver Percy Harvin opened the second half with an 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
  2. Seahawks WR Jermaine Kearse caught a 23-yard TD pass.
  3. Seahawks Linebacker Malcolm Smith intercepted a pass by Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning and returned it for a touchdown.
  4. The end of the game.
  5. Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas scores Denver’s only TD.
