Facebook recently tweaked the categories in its app center, allowing users to more easily find games and bring more fun applications to the forefront. The site also highlighted developer Vostu and a popular game from Buffalo Studios, Bingo Blitz.
Mobile applications that have easy, one-tap Facebook login buttons have made it easier for users to sign up and interact. The social network also found that users who connect their Facebook accounts to apps are more likely to spend money. Citing numbers from top apps such as SongPop, Bingo Blitz, and Diamond Dash, Facebook wrote about how valuable that easy connect option is.
Facebook spotlighted Buffalo Studios’ Bingo Blitz in a post on its developer blog, citing its mix of bingo with arcade-style game play, as well as its boost in engagement since adding custom art and content to its open graph stories.
“We’re not copycats, you are. Besides, everyone copies.” That sums up Zynga Chief Executive Officer Mark Pincus’ response to accusations that his company’s upcoming Bingo release for Facebook was a copy of Bingo Blitz, from Buffalo Studios.
