Social media management system Sprinklr announced the closing of a $40 million series-D investment round from Iconiq Capital, Intel Capital, and Battery Ventures, adding that the new funds will help speed its entry into the paid social market.
Global networking company Netgear announced at 2014 International CES in Las Vegas that it is teaming up with Facebook to provide Wi-Fi to small businesses, and the Facebook Wi-Fi service will be available free-of-charge to users of the social network who check in at those businesses’ Facebook pages.
Cisco Systems CEO John Chambers said at the Interop New York 2013 conference Wednesday that it is working with Facebook to provide free Wi-Fi in public places, including hotels and retail stores, for users who login with Facebook, Reuters reported.
