Two of the National Basketball Association’s marquee franchises are moving in starkly different directions when it comes to movement in people talking about this on Facebook for the past week, according to sister page PageData, as the defending champions, the Miami Heat, nearly doubled the PTAT gain of its nearest competitor, while the Los Angeles Lakers, after barely qualifying for the playoffs and being swept out of the first round, lost more than double the PTAT of the next team on the list.

Billionaire Mark Cuban, owner of the National Basketball Association‘s Dallas Mavericks, is quite displeased with Facebook’s page algorithm. Angered that only a fraction of Mavericks fans are seeing posts, Cuban is getting serious about moving more of his business from Facebook to Twitter and other social media sites. Now actor George Takei and basketball team owner Mark Cuban are displeased with Facebook’s algorithm. Over the weekend, both posted in anguish over their fans not being able to see all of what they post. Cuban even said he might take his business to MySpace.
