Prepare to see fewer stories from applications in News Feed, as Facebook announced a change to its News Feed algorithm that will emphasize what it calls explicitly shared stories from apps, or stories that users share by taking explicit actions, and cut back on implicitly shared stories, or stories automatically shared by apps without actions by the users.
On the same day Facebook expanded its Facebook for Business page to eight more countries and 11 additional languages, the social network also announced a redesign of its Facebook Developers website.
Facebook quietly rolled out a new main logo, as well as new logos for some of the company’s official pages.
Facebook is increasingly becoming a worldwide phenomenon, with talent coming from all over the globe. The social network recently wrapped up World Hack 2012, where developers from several different countries competed to create the best Facebook applications.
