As Hurricane Sandy wreaks havoc on the East Coast, people are checking into Facebook to let friends and relatives know that they have found safe, dry ground. Facebook released statistics today about the most talked about terms with regard to the hurricane, and “we are OK,” was the top term on the social network.

With Hurricane Irene taking aim at the Eastern Seaboard of the United States, the American Red Cross posted a photo album on its Facebook page, illustrating how residents in the soon-to-be-affected area are preparing for the storm, while the Global Disaster Relief on Facebook page continued to provide updates.
