Some Facebook advertisers are now able to preview their mobile application install ads directly on their mobile devices, complete with active install buttons.
Facebook introduced its listen button for musical artists’ pages last April, and last September, former social network juggernaut MySpace announced the ability for its users to sign in using Facebook or Twitter. Now, it appears that those two features are intertwined for some users, as Blink Account Manager Hagar Refael spotted the option to “listen using MySpace” when hovering over the listen button on the Facebook page for musician Steve Aoki.
Facebook added a “send to mobile” button to its app center last May in an effort to help drive application installs, and last August, the social network tested a similar option in the hover card that appears when users move their cursors over app-related stories in their News Feeds. Now, it appears that the social network is testing a send to mobile button directly within News Feed.
