Search Through Your Facebook History With Archify

So you remember a funny picture or a witty post from a Facebook friend, but you can’t recall when or which friend. Archify, which launched earlier this week, seeks to solve this problem by allowing users to easily search through their Facebook histories and see which of their friends and pages are the most active. Users can even access their Facebook histories from their Gmail accounts.

Want to own the domain name of Mark Zuckerberg’s original Harvard project which compared female Havard students to each other and let users vote on which one was more attractive? A domain squatter has picked up the domain name after Zuckerberg apparently let it expire.

The Ultimate History Of Facebook Controversies [Infographic]

Continuing with our series of interesting Facebook infographics, we’ve decided to produce an image representing the numerous controversies that Facebook has run into since it first was founded. From lawsuits to user uprisings, Facebook has faced constant scrutiny over protecting (or not protecting) users’ privacy as well as “stealing” ideas from other companies and people. Whatever the controversy was, we highlighted it in the following graphic. Enjoy!

Mark Zuckerberg: Privacy Settings Hurt Site Engagement

One of the less discussed aspects of Mark Zuckerberg’s interview at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View last week was a comment he mentioned about the impact that privacy settings have on engagement. While Facebook is known for providing a series of advanced tools for managing privacy, the company’s metrics have revealed that in the broad sense, less privacy settings results in increased engagement. This could explain some of the push for making information public by default. It could also explain the new embrace of Facebook Questions.
