The Boston Red Sox wrapped up the 2013 World Series title Wednesday night with a 6-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals, and the teams’ performances on Facebook mirrored the on-field action, as the Red Sox were responsible for 62 percent of World Series chatter on the social network, compared with 38 percent for the Cardinals, and Red Sox Designated Hitter and First Baseman David Ortiz, who was voted Most Valuable Player of the World Series, received four times more buzz than any other player.

UPDATED: The final episode of AMC’s hit drama, “Breaking Bad,” aired Sunday night, and more than 3 million Facebook users generated more than 5.5 million interactions during the show, according to the social network, which added that in the series’ fifth and final season alone, there have been 23.68 million posts and interactions related to “Breaking Bad,” from 11.14 million unique users.

The Password Protection Act of 2012 — which was introduced in both the Senate and House of Representatives last May, but not acted upon and sent to committee — was the subject of an amendment at the House Labor Committee that would make an exception to the prohibition of employers requesting the Facebook passwords of employees or applicants in the event of company investigations.
