BandsInTown, the top concert-discovery application on Facebook, plans to deepen integration within the social network. The app, which reaches more than 20 million unique Facebook users per month, wants to connect more fans through concerts they’re planning to see. BandsInTown CEO Julien Mitelberg spoke with AllFacebook about how the app will use open graph technology to make Facebook users more aware of events featuring their favorite artists.
People all over the world watched the Grammy Awards ceremony Sunday night, also taking to Facebook to post about their favorite stars or fashions. According to Facebook’s Talk Meter and InStyle magazine, users loved to post about the looks rocked by Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake, but they thought Rihanna was the best-dressed.
Justin Timberlake is bringing MySpace back, as the singer/actor was featured in a promotional video for the former top social network, but it’s a cameo by the Facebook logo that may raise eyebrows, as well. Details haven’t been released yet, but it appears that the new MySpace will continue to have some kind of Facebook integration.
