Facebook: More Than 116 Million Posts, Comments About The Olympics

We’ve heard from just about everyone else regarding how popular the 2012 Summer Olympic Games were on Facebook, but now it’s time for the social network to dish out its official statistics. The site noted that there were more than 116 million posts and comments related to the Games in London. And athletes collectively added 12.2 million likes to their pages between the opening and closing ceremonies.

Omega, BMW Take Gold, Silver For Integrating Facebook Into London 2012 Olympics Sponsorships

With the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London set to start July 27 and run through Aug. 12, watch maker Omega and automaker BMW are doing the best jobs at integrating Facebook into their sponsorship campaigns, while 16 of the top 25 sponsors have not tapped the social network at all, according to a real-time scoreboard presented by Sociagility and Acknowledgement.
