Facebook got off to somewhat of a rocky start in Ireland, with its privacy issues running afoul of the country’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, but the social network has been in better standing with the government there of late, being used by the Ireland Referendum Commission to register voters earlier this year, and being called out by President Michael Higgins in a speech earlier this week.
